The Role

Help us to protect consumers and put risk at the heart of our work. The BSB is seeking a Data and Insights Manager to play a key role in our Regulatory Risk and Insights team.

We're looking for someone to lead the development of analytical monitoring strategies that help us manage risks to the public effectively. In this role, you'll use your expertise in data analysis, utilise SQL programming, and platforms like Power BI to transform qualitative and quantitative data into high-quality intelligence products. You'll play a key part in supporting the BSB's regulatory risk framework, using data and intelligence to identify risks to the public interest, and helping us deliver on our strategic objectives. This role is a fantastic opportunity to work with our data sources, building insightful dashboards and using data to make a real impact for the public benefit.

You’ll play a key part of this evolution, contributing significantly to our developing abilities in data, intelligence and regulatory risk management. The Bar Standards Board (BSB) regulates barristers and their professional practice and specialised legal services businesses in England and Wales in the public interest. We are responsible for setting education and training requirements, setting standards, authorising organisations, monitoring the service provided, and handling complaints.
