LSE Fellows in Statistics 2x 

Salary from £42,679 to £51,000 pa inclusive with potential to progress to £54,730 pa inclusive 

This is a fixed term appointment for two years in the first instance, with the possibility of extension for one further year. 

The Department of Statistics is committed to conducting excellent research and teaching in statistics and/or data science in areas relevant to the social sciences. It seeks to appoint two LSE Fellows who will contribute to teaching and research in statistics.

Candidates should have a thorough knowledge and understanding, as well as a successful track record in statistics and data science. Relevant teaching experience and evidence of the ability to teach statistics and/or data science, including statistical theory and applied statistics, and data science, including programming, to both statistics and social science students is essential. These posts also permit time for research, and the post-holders will be expected to contribute to the research culture and intellectual life of the department in their areas of specialization. Successful candidates will have a developing, high-quality research record, a well-developed strategy for future research, excellent communication skills, and be able to provide effective mentoring and support to students. Candidates will have, or be very near completion of, a PhD in Statistics, Data Science, or a related field by the start date of the post.
